Rescue me cd - Family ID Kit - About Us

About Us

The uniue Rescue me cd™ family safety solution has been created by Elite Training Consultancy Limited after its director, Stephen Picken witnessed the use of an extremely successful American ID card scheme. It significantly increases the speed of the whole process of providing the police with missing person's identity information and subsequently focuses police attention and resources to the investigation and recovery. These types of schemes have been so successful in speeding up the process and reducing resources that the majority of all US law enforcement and government agencies fully promote and endorse their use. The concept really touched home as Stephen had previously experienced the pain and anguish of his 14-year-old daughter running away from home.

In August 2006 Elite Training Consultancy Ltd (trading as Rescue me cd™) took the initiative to create its own unique family safety solution. This solution has major improvements upon any such scheme currently in use around the world. These improvements being: higher levels of data protection, no use of a database or third party involvement in its creation (which all current technology based schemes in the world rely upon), capacity to store more persons ID records on one credit card sized CD-ROM, the inclusion of dental impressions and a DNA sample, the inclusion of full fingerprints and the ability to produce information in multiple languages. This is a totally unique system with copyright and has a patent pending for its design. To ensure that Rescue me cd™ maintains its commitments to users and its leading position in the market place, specific partnerships with leading manufactures were gained to professionally design, develop, procure and manufacture the Rescue me cd Family ID Kit™.

Rescue me cd™ carried out considerable research into missing children and persons within the UK. They found that the Home Office statistics show that over 210,000 people are reported missing each year and of that 100,000 are children under the age of 16. However, further research revealed that this figure is far from conclusive, as not all police forces report to the home office. Historically, police forces that do report may not report up to two thirds of all cases opened, as the missing person is found before all of the extensive paperwork has been completed.

From these findings the true figures of actual reported instances of missing persons is significantly higher than that stated by the Home Office. Other organisations and charities agree that the Home Office statistics are far from conclusive. This is an extremely serious problem and Rescue me cd™ have addressed the Prime Minister with their findings and solutions.

Other issues highlighted from this research and addressed to the Prime Minister are: the need for a standard and mandatory police reporting process and full analysis of that data, the need for a central monitoring, resource co-ordination and overall welfare body, the need for new initiatives to tackle the problem of runaway children from care homes and the impact this has on police resources.

A new area of research will look closely at the accuracy of current statistics gained by other organisations and charities indicating the risks faced by children whilst they are missing from home. Current statistics may not fully take into account that a child is extremely unlikely to admit to them that they had been the victim of rape or abuse.

Rescue me cd™ will conduct further research to address all areas within this large field and offer their findings and solutions to make a lasting positive effect on this important social issue.
